ASSISTANT EDITOR GRADUATES
Dalia Soto-Beltran
Dalia S. Beltran is a Mexican-American visual artist and emerging editor. Her passion for storytelling is rooted in the pursuit to diversify the repertoire of multi-cultural narratives that offer insight into the intricacies of intersectionality. While pursuing a B.A. in Media Studies, she traveled to Asia and Europe to study and photograph cultural dynamics through the lenses of gender roles and rituals. In 2020 she became a certified Avid Media Composer user, and short after was selected to join the 2020-2021 Walt Disney Television PA Program. Dalia believes in the importance of the continuous nurture of her craft, so you can always find her taking a night or weekend filmmaking class.
Omar Chavez
Omar is a Mexican American born in Boyle Heights and has lived all over SoCa. He has held many jobs, from wedding photographer, to ESL Tutor, to line cook, to Outreach Manager for Project Rebound at CSUF where he also earned a BA in Linguistics in 2017. When a job he was trying to get after college didn't pan out, he found his way into the Entertainment Industry by way of Manifest Works in the fall of 2017. He loves working in this industry, and Post is where it's at for him because "I love seeing it all come together. I don't notice too many Chicano's in creative positions, so I'd like to be able to change that, and contribute creatively to my community. My family is my world, and I'm proud to say that I am finally on my career path, doing what I love, while also being a provider for my loved ones."
Ricky Denham
Ricky Denham is 23 years old from Southern California. He graduated from Clark Atlanta University in 2019. Ricky aims to expand my creativity and use these editing skills to make the world a better place. "I live to inspire and be inspired!"
Hector Espinoza
Hector Espinoza is a Los Angeles based aspiring Assistant Editor. He received his Avid Assistant Editing Certification from Moviola Digital Arts Institute in 2019. In 2020, he landed a job as a weekend assist on El Rey Network’s show Maria! He continues to learn more about the craft through self research. Through this program, he hopes to learn valuable skills and techniques that will help him have a successful career in Post.
Dean Gaddi
Dean is an avid learner that always aims high with the constant drive to enrich those around him. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and now works every day to maintain authenticity and truth in his craft. Each and every step in his professional and schooling careers added more to his perspective, allowing his natural curiosity in building great projects to flourish. His most valuable lessons learned in his career are to remain versatile, resilient, and creative while seeking partnerships and keeping an ever-present mindset of continual betterment.
Karina Munoz
Karina Munoz is a video editor and freelance photographer. A native Southern Californian, she works to capture special moments and tell the stories of locals in the LA Area. She is currently pursuing her goals of becoming an Assistant Video Editor for Television to further connect people with memorable visual experiences on screen. A woman of curiosity and passion for learning, Karina strives to keep up to date with emerging trends in media as well as tech to implement in her edits. She is always willing to share and exchange any new knowledge she has acquired. When she’s not in front of a computer or behind the lens, she is often found baking or exploring the great sights the city has to offer.
Priscilla Oliveira
With a formal background and experience in Brazil in executive production and cultural studies, Priscilla has worked in many different artistic and social projects but always trying to shift and focus in post production. She came to the USA in 2017 and has been working in post since mid 2019. Priscilla is tri-lingual in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
Maxwell Robertson
Max Robertson is an art history major at Amherst college because of his love for creativity and freedom of expression. He is currently a second semester senior and will be graduating in May. He looks forward to starting his professional journey in the entertainment industry. He enjoys art, hanging with friends, skateboarding, and playing soccer.
Jesica Rojas
Jesi Rojas is an aspiring editor who has a passion for telling woman-centered stories. In 2017 she was the recipient of the Television Academy Internship Program for the Scripted Editing category. Most recently, Jesi has worked on MTV’s The Challenge as a Dailies Editor. Jesi hopes to work on stories that focus on the immigrant, woman-of-color and latinx experience.
Max Rojas
Max Rojas was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, he is a recent graduate from California State University, Northridge. Where he found his passion for film, photography, and television. During his time there he worked on scripted and nonscripted projects as an editor and cinematographer for student projects. Since graduating he has worked for shows such as Big brother, The Soup, and The Voice as a Post Production Assistant. He is looking to move up as a union assistant editor for future projects. During his free time, he spends it on family, photography, and enjoying new films.
Emanuel Shaw
Born 11th out of 12 children, Emanuel Shaw has always had to learn how to stand out. From a child, he knew he had to work hard in order to achieve any goals he set for himself and that same drive still exists today. His first experience of professional work came in the sports industry where he learned the true meaning of teamwork. During this time, Emanuel would discover his love for editing. Since 2018, Emanuel has worked on student films, with a post-production house and he hopes to someday have ACE follow his name.
Langdon Van
Langdon Sean Van is a Chinese-American assistant editor and filmmaker. A graduate from UC Riverside's Theatre, Film & Digital Production department, Langdon got his start in filmmaking with pioneers of Asian-American representation in media, Wong Fu Productions. Starting as a production assistant, he eventually grew to become a grip, camera assistant, and videographer but felt his passions lied in editing. Langdon has a strong passion for Asian-American representation in the film industry and is determined to have a direct hand in an ever-growing movement for diversity in film. He prides himself in his work ethic and his love for cinema. When he is not working, he loves to take hip-hop dance classes, watch the newest anime shows, and go to his favorite concerts.
Pierre Williams
Pierre is a professional of production with over a decade of international perspective in entertainment. He has produced projects in various countries such as the USA, Mexico, France, Malaysia and China and speaks Spanish, Mandarin and International Sign Language. Pierre's interested are in videography and editing that display his creativity and perspective skills.
Toni Williams
Toni Williams is a creative artist who has been fully immersed in the arts since the age of 13. She graduated from Academy of Art University with an MFA degree in Video Editing in 2020. In 2017, she started her own production company, Toni Shae Productions, where she produces commercials, documentaries, short films, music videos, and more. Toni has worked with companies such as: Cycle Gear, Freidman's Appliances, WSS Shoes, and 95.7 The Game. On top of her freelancing career, she also teaches media arts to at-risk youth of Oakland, California.
